Following a decisive victory in Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliamentary Election, a new cabinet led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman was officially sworn in on Tuesday afternoon.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament), where President Mohammad Shahabuddin administered the oath to 49 members of the new government.
The newly formed administration includes 25 full ministers and 24 state ministers. Tarique Rahman took oath as head of government.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, AZM Zahid Hossain, Khalilur Rahman (Technocrat), Abdul Awal Mintoo, Shah Moazzem Hossain Kaykobad, Mizanur Rahman Minu, Nitai Ray Chowdhury, Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Ariful Haque Chowdhury, Zahir Uddin Swapan, Aminur Rashid (Technocrat), Afroza Khanam Rita, Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Asadul Habib Dulu, Md. Asaduzzaman, Zakaria Taher Suman, Dipen Dewan, ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon, Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain Bakul, Fakir Mahbub Anam, and Sheikh Robiul Alam.

The formation of the new cabinet marks the formal beginning of the BNP-led administration after the recent election. Further announcements regarding ministerial portfolios are expected in the coming days.
