After the remand, Barrister Suman has been sent to jail.

He was arrested in a case of attempted murder of youth leader and assistant cook of Bangaliana Bhog, Hriday Mia, during the anti-discrimination movement in Mirpur, the capital. Today, Sunday (October 27), he was presented in court after a 5-day remand in this case. 

At that time, the investigating officer of the case, Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Halim of Mirpur Model Police Station, requested to keep him in jail. The defense lawyers sought bail. 

After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Sefatullah rejected his bail application and ordered him to be sent to jail. Earlier, on October 22, the court had granted a 5-day remand for him. He was arrested by the police from the Mirpur-6 area around 1:20 AM on October 21. 

According to the allegations in the case, during the anti-discrimination movement on July 19, Hriday went to a rally in Mirpur-10 after performing Jummah prayers. There, leaders and activists of the Awami League and its affiliated organizations attacked. They threw cocktail bombs and fired shots. 

Hriday was shot in this incident. He is the Senior Vice President of the Youth Wing of the BNP in Madhabpur, Habiganj, in the 10th Hatia Union. He filed a case at Mirpur Model Police Station on September 23 regarding this incident. Barrister Suman is the accused mentioned in the third charge sheet of the case.
