Housemaid Allegedly Beaten, Complaint Filed Against Actress Pori Moni at Police Station.
Actress Pori Moni is facing allegations of beating her housemaid over feeding her one-year-old daughter.
The victim, Pinki Akter, has filed a complaint at Bhatara Police Station in Dhaka seeking legal action. Pinki Akter filed the complaint on Thursday, April 3rd. Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mazharul Islam confirmed the complaint and said, "There are allegations of torture against a housemaid of actress Pori Moni.
The housemaid has filed a complaint at the police station in this regard. We are investigating the matter."
Detailing the alleged torture, housemaid Pinki Akter said, "I got the job at actress Pori Moni's house through a man named Kader a month ago.
My responsibility was to take care of Pori Moni's one-year-old daughter and feed her. The rule was to feed her baby every two hours.
I followed that and fed the baby every two hours daily.
Although I was brought in to take care of the baby, I was also made to do other household chores.
On April 2nd, I was sitting with Pori Moni's baby at her house, making a list of groceries – what she needed.
At that time, the baby started crying. Meanwhile, a person named Sourav, who is known to Pori Moni and visits her house from time to time, told me, 'Give the baby some solid food.'
Then I told Sourav Bhai (brother), 'Brother, the baby ate solid food a while ago; it hasn't been two hours yet. Let me finish some work, then I will give her milk.'"
