Before the reform of the Habiganj Press Club ?

Before the reform of the Habiganj Press Club, is it not a new responsibility.

Journalists working in Habiganj have held a human chain demanding the reform of the Press Club, citing long-standing allegations of autocracy, irregularities, and the influence of a particular group in its activities.

They have called for the Press Club to be developed as a free, neutral, and active professional organization.

Among the demands raised by the journalists is the establishment of journalists' rights by eliminating long-standing irregularities regarding Press Club membership.

Additionally, they seek to eradicate the monopoly and corruption that have persisted under illegal leadership for years.

If good governance and equitable participation are not ensured, the Press Club will lose its effective role. In this regard, they warned that the current mismanagement, irregularities, and corruption of the Press Club must be addressed through restructuring and reform before allowing the next executive committee to take office, and they called for the formation of a reform commission.

Later, a program was announced to stage a sit-in in front of the Press Club tomorrow, Tuesday.
