On Saturday, there will be a power outage in over a hundred areas in Sylhet.
The electricity supply will be suspended in many areas of Sylhet City Corporation on Saturday (January 4).
The Electricity Department has confirmed in a notice that due to urgent work, power will be cut off for 8 to 10 hours in 100 areas.
This information has been provided in separate notices from the Executive Engineer of Sylhet's Sales and Distribution Division-1 and 2.
Among these, power will be suspended from 7 AM to 5 PM in 52 areas and from 8 AM to 8 PM in 48 areas.
The notice states that from 7 AM to 5 PM, power will not be available in areas under the 11 kV Kakuyarpar and Lakaturah 33/11 kV substation, including Airport Thana, Baishatila, Osmani Airport Express, Dhopagul, Bonshree, Boro Bazar, and Lakaturah Stadium feeders, covering Lakaturah Bazar, Muslim Para, Malanichara, the mouth of Banshbari Goli, the mouth of Angurmiar Goli, Rupsha A/E, Khasdvir Primary School, Israel Mia Goli, Darus Salam Madrasa Road, Boro Bazar, Abadani, partial near Borshala Bazar Mosque, Tourism, Faridabad, Silver City, Kewachhara, Hiluachhara Tea Garden, Dhopagul, Mahaladik, Umdarpara, Alai Bahar, Lilapara, Dapanatila, Saheber Bazar, Kalagul, Lalbag, Pirergaon, Chalia, Rangitila, and Salutikar.
At the same time (from 7 AM to 5 PM), power will not be available in areas under the 33/11 kV substation at Ambarkhana, including 11 kV Jalalabad and IGD overhead feeders, covering partial Ambarkhana, Manipuri Bosti, Fazilchista, Subid Bazar Mitali Goli, Jalalabad, Pir Mohalla, Paharikha, Badam Baghicha, Ghuruni A/E, Dattapara, Ambarkhana Colony, Majumdari, Syed Mugni, Lechubagan, Prabhati, Pir Mohalla, and partial Housing Estate. Meanwhile, from 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, power will be unavailable in areas under the 33/11 kV substation of the suburban substation, including Upashahar, Shibganj, Senpara
Tilaghar, Lamapara, Shobujbag, Hatimbag, Dhopadighirpar, Sobhanighat, Bishwaroad, Jatorpur, Kumarpara, Mirabazar, Chhalibandar, Kashtoghar, Hawkers Market, Kalighat, Mahajanpatti, Machimpur, Chararpar, Sonarpara, Majumdarpur, Raynagar, Mirapara, Shapalabag, Muktirochok, Kalyanpur, Tultikar, Mirerchok, Muradpur, Mendibag, Kushighat, and Sadatikar.
