Allegations have been raised against an official of Sheikh Hasina Hall at Islamic University (IU) for sexually harassing the hall's caretaker and her daughter. 

On December 19, the victimized woman submitted a written complaint to the hall provost seeking justice. 

The official is accused of making immoral proposals at various times and taking advantage of opportunities to touch the sensitive parts of the victim's daughter. 

The accused official, Abdur Razzaq, is the assistant registrar of Sheikh Hasina Hall. 

The victimized woman works as a caretaker on a daily wage basis in his office. In her complaint, the victim stated that since the death of her husband in 2014, she had been working at Sheikh Hasina Hall with her two daughters. Since then, at various times, the accused Abdur Razzaq has made indecent proposals to her and suggested that she bring her daughters to his home for illicit interactions. 

When she refused his proposals, he threatened to dismiss her from her job and even threatened her life. 

Additionally, Razzaq has threatened to push her out of the hall on various occasions. In 2021, when he found the victim's younger daughter alone in the hall, Razzaq attempted to touch her inappropriately. 

At that time, the girl cleverly escaped and informed her mother about the incident. 

However, due to the accused's influential position, the woman chose to keep the matter secret instead of protesting. After this incident, she began staying in Kushtia city with her daughters. 

Most recently, on December 11, during her work in the hall, Abdur Razzaq made another proposal for illicit relations. 

At that time, the victimized caretaker managed to escape from his grasp. Later, she informed her acquaintances among the students about the situation. 

The victimized caretaker stated, "Whenever he gets the chance while working in the hall, he always behaves sexually towards me and my daughters and makes indecent proposals. 

If we refuse his proposals, he mistreats us. I am in an uncomfortable situation with my daughters. 

I seek justice against him." Regarding the allegations, the accused Abdur Razzaq claimed, "This is a completely false, fabricated, and baseless accusation. 

I used to be involved with the JSD student wing. Someone may have conspired against me to create this."
