Who is Fahim, who has been accused of impersonating the son of Mushfiqur Ansari. 

Police have arrested a young man for allegedly impersonating Mushfiqur Fazal Ansari's son, who holds the rank of Senior Secretary and is currently serving as the Ambassador in Mexico. 

He was arrested by the Kotwali police from the Raynagar area of Sylhet city late Thursday night (January 3). His name is Fahim Ahmed (20). 

Fahim is the son of Rafiq Mia from Deogao in the Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district. 

He resided at house number 52 in Raynagar. Mohammad Saiful Islam, the media officer of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), stated that Fahim Ahmed attempted to influence various individuals regarding transfers in the Ministry of Home Affairs and admissions to several prestigious schools by claiming to be the elder son of Mushfiqur Fazal Ansari. 

Upon learning of this, journalist Abu Sufiyan Farabi, a former colleague of the ambassador, informed Mushfiqur Fazal Ansari. During this time, Mushfiqur Fazal Ansari advised that swift action be taken against the fraudster Fahim Ahmed. Subsequently, Abu Sufiyan Farabi filed a case against Fahim at the Kotwali police station in Sylhet. 

Following the case, police initiated efforts to arrest Fahim. 

They were able to apprehend him from Raynagar in Sylhet city late Thursday night. 

Police reported that the fraudster Fahim Ahmed had committed various types of fraud while posing as a relative of the protocol officer of then-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the Awami government. 

After the arrest, Mohammad Saiful Islam confirmed that legal action has been taken against him.
