Police recovered the hanging body of a woman in Sylhet city on Thursday night.
The body was recovered at around 3am on Friday (July 24).
The deceased was identified as Rokeya Begum, 38, daughter of Amir Ali of Chechan village under Chhatak Police Station in Sunamganj. She had been living in a rented house at Holding No. 164 in the Bagbari Narsingtila area under Kotwali Police Station in Sylhet city.
Police said they recovered the body from a residential room at the rented house in the Bagbari Narsingtila area at around 3am.
The body was later sent to the morgue of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector Abu Bakkar confirmed the matter.
