Electricity supply will remain suspended for three hours in several areas of Shantiganj upazila in Sunamganj on Wednesday (August 26), from 9am to 12pm.
The Shantiganj Palli Bidyut Sub-Zonal Office confirmed the matter in an emergency notice issued on Tuesday night (August 25).
According to the notice, power supply will be suspended continuously from 9am to noon to facilitate system improvement work on Feeders 1 and 2 under the Shantiganj Sub-Zonal Office.
As a result, electricity will remain unavailable during the scheduled period in Shantiganj Bazar, the Upazila Health Complex, the Upazila Parishad, Shantiganj Police Station and Fire Service Station, as well as Sultanpur, Dungria, Shibpur, Joykalas, Noagaon, Dungria Agar Point, Ujanigaon and other areas under Feeders 1 and 2.
The authorities said power supply would be restored as soon as possible after the scheduled work is completed. They also expressed regret to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
