A 71-member convening committee of the Moulvibazar district unit of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Muktijuddher Projonmo (Nationalist Pro-Liberation War Generation) has been officially announced.
The committee was approved through a letter signed by the organization's Central President, Engineer Ishraq Hossain, and General Secretary, Dr. K.M. I. Monty, on July 23.
According to the announcement, Fuad Zaman has been appointed as Convener, Monjurul Karim Rahi as Senior Joint Convener, and Advocate Niamul Haque as Member Secretary.
The Joint Conveners include Md. Jahed Ahmed, Md. Saiful Alam Russell, Sheikh Md. Abdul Hamid, Md. Khasru Mia Munna, Md. Russell Ahmed, Advocate Ejajul Islam, Advocate Kamrul Islam, Imtiaz Gafur Maruf, Hridoy Ahmed, Nader Ahmed, Fakhrul Islam, Advocate Md. Hossain Bakhsh, Shah Md. Badrul, and Hasan Abdullah.
Leaders of the organization said the newly formed convening committee will work to unite the younger generation in Moulvibazar around the ideals of the Liberation War, nationalism, and patriotism. They also plan to expand organizational activities across upazilas and local units and form a full-fledged district committee in the near future.
The leadership expressed hope that the new committee would strengthen the organization's activities in Moulvibazar and play a significant role in promoting the spirit of the Liberation War and nationalist values among the younger generation.
