Sunamganj: Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dirai Police Station, Md. Aminul Islam, has been named the Best Officer-in-Charge in the Sylhet Range in recognition of his outstanding performance in disposing of a high number of cases, arresting accused in regular cases, and making significant recoveries of smuggled goods.
The award was presented on Tuesday (August 4) at a ceremony held at the office of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sylhet Range.
According to official sources, OC Md. Aminul Islam was selected as the Best Officer-in-Charge for July 2026 for his notable achievements in case disposal, the arrest of accused persons in regular criminal cases, and successful operations against smuggling.
The certificate of recognition was formally handed over by Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sylhet Range, during the ceremony.
