Commerce Minister Khandaker Muktadir Visits Ailing Business Leader Dilwar Hossain

Commerce, Industries, Textiles and Jute Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir visited veteran businessman and political figure Md. Dilwar Hossain at his residence in Mashimpur, Sylhet, on Wednesday (August 5), to inquire about his health and wish him a speedy recovery.

Dilwar Hossain is a former Senior Vice-President of the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, former General Secretary of the Sylhet Business Association, former President of the Sylhet Coal Importers Group, current President of the Sylhet District Brick Manufacturers' Association, and founding former President of the BNP's Ward No. 23 unit.

During the visit, the minister spent time with the ailing business leader, inquired about his treatment and overall health condition, and offered prayers for his swift recovery and long life.

Speaking on the occasion, Khandaker Muktadir described Dilwar Hossain as a distinguished figure in Sylhet's business and political circles. He said Dilwar Hossain had made significant contributions to the region's economic development, the protection of the business community's interests, and social progress, adding that his career serves as an inspiration for both the country's business community and younger generations of politicians.

The minister also expressed hope for Dilwar Hossain's full recovery, saying the people of Sylhet and the country still look forward to his continued contributions. He prayed for his good health and longevity.

Among those present during the visit were Sylhet Zila Parishad Administrator Abul Kaher Chowdhury Shamim, Sylhet District BNP Joint General Secretary Siddikur Rahman Paplu, Sylhet Sadar Upazila BNP President Abul Kashem, Sylhet Business Association Senior Vice-President Haji Mokbul Hossain, businessmen Juned Ahmed, Akhtar Hossain, Haji Khaled Hossain, Hossain Ahmed, Sharif Hossain, Ward No. 23 BNP General Secretary Zamzam Badsha, Sylhet Metropolitan Jubo Dal Joint Secretary Md. Akhtar Hossain Biru, and other local dignitaries.

Special prayers were conducted by Maulana Qari Rajab Uddin Nazimi.
