Shamim Ahmed, member secretary of the Jagannathpur municipal unit of Jubo Dal in Sunamganj, has been expelled from the party’s primary membership and all organizational positions over specific allegations of violating party discipline.
The decision was taken by the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal.
The information was confirmed in a press release issued by the central committee on Tuesday (August 11).
According to the statement, Shamim Ahmed was accused of making inappropriate remarks about senior local BNP leaders, which allegedly undermined organizational discipline.
Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan approved and implemented the expulsion, the statement said.
The notice, signed by Minhazul Islam Bhuiyan, deputy office secretary of the central Jubo Dal committee and currently in charge of the office, also said the party would not take responsibility for any misconduct committed by Shamim Ahmed following his expulsion.
The central committee has also instructed leaders and activists at all levels of Jubo Dal to maintain no organizational ties with him.
