BRAC Project to Develop Young Entrepreneurs Concludes in Kulaura

A closing meeting of BRAC’s Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project, aimed at developing skills, creating employment opportunities and promoting entrepreneurship among young people, was held in Kulaura, Moulvibazar.

The meeting was organized by BRAC at the Kulaura Upazila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday (August 11) morning. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Pronoy Biswas attended the event as the chief guest.

BRAC District Coordinator Iliment Hajong moderated the meeting. Special guests included Kulaura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Zahirul Islam Munna, Upazila Youth Development Officer Anita Devi, Upazila Social Services Officer Pranesh Chandra Barman, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Soumitra Karmakar, BRAC Deputy Manager Md Rafiqul Islam, District Manager Asma-ul-Husna and Associate Officer Abul Kalam Azad, among others.

Officials from various government and private organizations, representatives of financial institutions, BRAC officials, project trainees and media workers attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that BRAC has been implementing the Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project in Kulaura since 2023 with financial support from Qatar-based donor organization Silatech.

Under the project, young entrepreneurs have received training and guidance on business management, financial management, entrepreneurial skills and business expansion. The initiative has also helped connect entrepreneurs with financial institutions, creating opportunities for them to access the financing needed to grow their businesses.
